Mona Sahi: What If I Knew?

This installation of paintings, drawings and ceramic sculptures references recent political events in Iran and expresses the artist’s horror and outrage at the violent actions of a repressive regime. Born in Iran and based in Edmonton, Mona Sahi reflects on the corrupting nature of power while saluting those with the courage to resist. In solidarity with protesters shot in the eyes by Iranian security forces, Sahi invites gallery visitors to wear a blindfold over one eye while viewing her emotive artworks.
