Zoe Kreye: I Know About Lots Of Things I’ve Never Seen. And So Do You.

This site-specific installation of painted and layered fabric and sculptural objects invites visitors to “Breathe, listen, feel, connect, observe” while attuning ourselves to what our bodies are telling us. Vancouver-based Zoe Kreye creates big, immersive artworks that are grounded in bodily sensations, ritualistic movements and the transformative possibilities of “politicized somatics.” At the same time, her arching forms and painted gestures evoke ancient and contemporary gathering places, from cave entrances to urban arcades.
