The Jews Of Amsterdam, Rembrandt And Pander
Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, Portland, OR - Jun 11 - Sep 24
One of Portland’s most celebrated painters, Dutch-born Henk Pander (1937-2023), is paired with Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669), as two non-Jews looking at 400 years of Jewish life in Amsterdam. The Oregon Jewish Museum reopens on June 11 with an extended space and a new permanent exhibition, Human Rights After the Holocaust, to explore how human rights abuses, hatred, racial injustice and genocide continue to happen, and to offer hope.
