Collect, Assemble, Gather

Curated by Amelia Epp with the Artists for Kids team, Collect, Assemble, Gather asks: What role does collecting play in the artistic process? How do the ways we collect and gather from the lands and waters reflect our relationship with the Earth? How do col-laboration and community-based practices build relationships and shape the meanings of an artwork? Works are drawn from the gallery’s permanent collection, with some outside contributions. Artists include Kenojuak Ashevak, Stan Douglas, Samuel Roy-Bois, Michelle Sound, Brendan Tang and Marlene Yuen. gordonsmithgallery.com
