Found in Translation: The Michael and Inna O’Brian Collection

Griffin Art Projects, North Vancouver, BC - To Dec 13

by Michael Turner

The O’Brian legacy is anchored in an important collection that reflects the shifts and rhythms of Canadian settler and Indigenous art in the post-war period. As donors, the O’Brians have provided funds to institutions and individual artists, in addition to counsel. Found in Translation is an opportunity to experience a substantial slice of the collection in a single dedicated serving. Included are works by Emily Carr, Beau Dick, Stan Douglas, Gathie Falk, Brian Jungen, Ann Kipling, Mary Pratt, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Krystle Silverfox and Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun. griffinartprojects.ca
