As I Saw It

Everything on view in this group show exploring “simulation, memory and fiction” devolves from photographic sources, including documentary real estate views by Daphne Minkoff. AMcE presents a stimulating assembly of contemporary artists who have adapted photography to conceptual and personally expressive views, hence the exhibition title, As I Saw It. Grace Weston’s miniature setups that mix mirrors and toys are her version of Barbie noir. Other works in various media by Diane Meyer, Kirsten Tradowsky and Jan Waldon all start with snapshots and found photographs.
