The abstract paintings of Terrell James have expanded since she painted a miniature, also titled Story, in 2000. As well as new oils on linen, she has daringly reworked some 15-year-old monotype prints in an act of self-reassessment. This is abstraction teetering on landscape, which can be a mesmerizing mix. Catch Houston-based James at the gallery on First Thursday, September 7, and giving an artist talk on September 9.
