Harry Stanbridge & Linda Stanbridge: Paint And Fire

Linda Stanbridge’s geometric sculptures and Harry Stanbridge’s abstract paintings speak to the ways in which this couple’s lives and art-making have complemented each other for many decades. Linda’s uncanny works, combining raku-fired clay, burnished steel, brushed and powder-coated aluminum, and paint, seem to hover somewhere between two and three dimensions. Harry’s paintings deploy organic patches of colour and pattern to reflect on themes of memory and decay and to explore the winding alleys of self-reflection.
