Andrew Mckay: Portraits

Andrew McKay’s realist paintings cover many genres, though it’s his portraits that have garnered some attention of late. The focus of this exhibition is Tête-à-Tête, a project in which McKay painted portraits of 10 artists, and in exchange, each of the artists produced a portrait of him. Also included is a series of self-portraits McKay painted over the past 10 years. Half of them show McKay disguising himself using masks, costumes and uniforms; the other half feature the artist in his studio. pendulumgallery.bc.ca
