To May 1 Aftertaste: Poiēsis Collective. This group of younger-generation artists’ work is centred in photography and lens-based art. Members share an approach that comments on the impact of photographic images in our daily lives. Aftertaste explores the active process through which the images we absorb (and the ways images absorb us) shape our understanding and engagement with the world. Capture Photography Festival Featured Exhibition May 4-May 29 Liminal City: Emilie Fantuz | Gillian Richards brings together two Vancouver painters whose work examines the in-between and layered spaces that exist in modern cities. Light, shadow, reflection and transparency are central to the work of both, and the work expresses the appearance and feeling of moving through and within our urban environment.
