The Stars We Do Not See: Australian Indigenous Art

These sacred stories, hidden designs and natural symbols used to be body markings and sand paintings, then, in the 1970s, the artists were encouraged to paint on canvas. With more than 130 works by 142 artists, exclusively from the collection of the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne, this is the largest presentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art ever shown in North America.
