Curator Ellen Ito has selected David Hytone as the next Project NW artist at TAM. Widely exhibited across the nation and in Europe, the recent MacDowell Fellow has created a new body of work for his solo art museum debut. Expanding on his recent tchotchke series, The Lee Shore finds Hytone considering the normalization of the tragic and the absurd by employing wooden supports, ropes, pulleys, counterweights and ceramics in an installation anchored by a large multi-panel painting.
