Dark Chapters: David Garneau

An exhibition of the Métis artist’s still life paintings and responses to these works by literary writers. The pairing of painting and text is an apt one, given that David Garneau has distinguished himself as both a painter and a critic of contemporary Canadian and Indigenous art. Contributors to the exhibition and its companion publication include Nic Wilson (editor/contributor), Arin Fay (curator/contributor), Fred Wah, Susan Musgrave, Paul Seesequasis, David Howes, Rita Bouvier, Jesse Wente, Billy-Ray Belcourt and Peter Morin.
