There’s still time to catch this excellent show on the theme of play. Psychologists stress the need for everyone to play, and children play effortlessly. “Play is also a way for artists to seek release from meaning, to resist others’ need to interpret or instrumentalize their work, as seen in absurdist art-historical movements such as Dada,” according to curators Nancy and Theo Downes-Le Guin. With works by Derrick Adams, Calvin Chen, Jeremy Okai Davis, Latoya Lovely, Jillian Mayer, Takashi Murakami, Jeremy Rotsztain, Heidi Schwegler, Joshua Sin, Matthew Earl Williams and Erwin Wurm.
