Feb 4-Mar 4 David Burdeny: Arrifact. New works of photography taken during a recent trip to Japan, highlighting Tokyo storefronts. Here, Burdeny is treating the images more as architectural drawings where he has removed all the clutter around the central image. Exposure: A Group Show features Mitch Kern, Laurel Johannesson, Toni Hafkenscheid and Dan Hudson. Mar 18-Apr 15 Rhys Douglas Farrell: Optimatic. New works by Calgary-based artist Rhys Douglas Farrell. “Optimatic” refers to the automatic and immediate interactions between the colours Farrell selects, as well as the interactions of the viewer with the works. The artist uses colour theory and pattern- making to create highly optic works that shift both chromatically and physically.
