Amy Loewan: Sanctuary

Amy Loewan's exhibition is a highly crafted meditation on themes of peace, compassion and interconnectedness. Central to the installation is a large-scale, glowing lantern intricately woven from rice paper strips, some inscribed with words such as kindness, tolerance, and forgiveness in different languages. Suspended above a golden wheat field, this octagonal lantern is a beautiful metaphor for the illuminated heart.
