Tania Willard: Photolithics
The Polygon Gallery, North Vancouver, BC - To May 24
This 10-year survey gathers existing and more recent works based on land, language and human relations that showcase Secwépemc and settler-Scottish artist Tania Willard’s innovative approach to photography. Though it’s known as a medium that emerged in the 19th century, Willard maintains that the principles of photography have always been with us, and she demonstrates this beginning with those most basic of elements: light and stone. Willard is the 2025 recipient of the Sobey Art Award and director of the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery. Part of the 2026 Capture Photography Festival. thepolygon.ca
