Barbara Black Et Al.: What’s Past Is Prologue

Forced to move by rising rents, the oldest cooperative gallery in Portland has hit the jackpot and moved into the Otis Building, in the same cool Pearl District neighborhood. Blackfish will now have three instead of two shows each month. First up is founder member Barbara Black, known for her colorful, dreamy landscapes and still lifes. She is joined by painter Angela Passalacqua (Greek myths, fairy tales and horses)and sculptor Barbara Conyne (quirky birds), showing how the elders set Blackfish on its course.
