OREGON – Ford Family Foundation’s Hallie Ford Fellows in the Visual Arts

Three Oregon-based visual artists have been selected for Hallie Ford Fellowships, recognizing the quality and impact of their work. Katherine Aungier uses touch, sound and texture in her paintings and installations to prioritize collective participation and accessibility. Diego Morales-Portillo examines labor, migration and global production structures through sculpture, ceramics and video. Ralph Pugay builds nonlinear worlds through paintings and installations where humor, contradiction and contemporary noise coexist. Additionally, the foundation awarded its inaugural 1905 Legacy Award to Lillian Pitt, honoring her profound commitment to traditional art, teaching and cultural practice. JG
