Aiden Kirkegaard: Tracing Memory

Those interested in the biological neural networks that both carry and represent memories will be drawn to the colourful, large-scale shaped canvases of Aiden Kirkegaard. For the artist herself, the act of painting is its own mode of inquiry, a journey of recovery with respect to lost memories, but also one of discovery, where alternative realities are teased out, brought to light. Though largely abstract, Kirkegaard’s paintings show traces of home, specifically her studio: a place of work, a space for dreams.
