To Jan 10 Surge: A Geography of Flow. Curated by Chloe Dye Sherpe, this is the latest installment of the acclaimed triennial Surge series, which pairs Northwest artists with climate scientists. Developed with the Skagit Climate Science Consortium and inspired in part by the December 2025 flooding, the exhibition examines the boundaries, currents and systems driving climate-related movement of water, people, plants, animals and ecosystems throughout our region. Through collaborative art installations inspired by peer-reviewed research, it invites visitors to consider how changing landscapes and more frequent extreme weather events affect the places we call home, and how art can deepen our understanding of these complex challenges. Topics include salmon survival, forest ecology, habitats and more.
