Ongoing Maya Beaudry: Nesting. New work that suggests how fabric often mediates between architecture and the body, while also drawing attention to the constant cycles of construction and deconstruction in our urban landscape. Maya Beaudry constructs spaces where memory and material coalesce–where fabric becomes façade and the past is stitched into the present. Working at the intersection of sculpture, painting, photography and architecture, Beaudry’s practice explores the emotional and structural landscapes of urban transformation. In her hands, cloth becomes a site of excavation: sewn, printed, puffed and cut to reveal the layered palimpsests of place, time and loss.
