Arnt Arntzen: Found

Arnt Arntzen began making art as a child working with his father on a 36-foot steel schooner in the backyard of his family home, where he refashioned the metal scraps into sculpture. His interest in woodworking came later, while renovating vintage houses. Between 1984 and 1987, he turned his attention to studio furniture design. More recently, Arntzen has created a compelling series of artworks that fuse airplane and helicopter parts with wind-fallen elm, cherry, maple, alder, birch, oak, fir and sycamore trees.
