What’s At Stake
Schneider Museum of Art, Ashland, OR - To Mar 23
Three artists present work about war. Al Farrow’s sculpture series Divine Ammunition uses bullets and other military hardware to make holy relics, linking religion and violence. In oil-on-panel diptychs, Masami Teraoka reimagines traditional Japanese ukiyo-e while referencing Western Renaissance art, and here he is responding to the war in Ukraine. Zeina Barakeh, a Palestinian-Lebanese artist from Beirut, through inkjet prints and digital animation, explores emerging military technologies and the blurred boundaries between humans and machines.
