Dipped In Paint: A Painted Legacy
Schack Art Center, Everett, WA - To Feb 17
To launch its 50th-anniversary celebrations, this vital community art hub presents a solo exhibition of bold, colorful abstract works by local artist Vincent Keele. “Art has always been my passion,” says the self-taught expressionist, whose fluid, rhythmic lines – at times calligraphic – animate canvas, acrylic glass as well as concrete plaster. Keele shows several series, but the best are his portraits of African American blues musicians like B.B. King and Muddy Waters.
