Whatcom Museum - Lightcatcher Building, Bellingham, WA - To Feb 25
Whatcom Museum’s fourth biennial national juried art exhibition since 2015 is hosted in the museum’s Lightcatcher Building. Guest juror Grace Kook-Anderson, from the Portland Art Museum, selected works of painting, sculpture, fabric art, glass and video from over 1,000 submitted artworks. Sixty-eight artists from across the USA, both established and emerging, are represented, exploring the theme of healing. Juror’s Choice Award winners were announced at the opening ceremony on Nov 11: Io Palmer (First Prize), Federico Cuatlacuatl (Second Prize) and Renee Noelle Cheesman (Third Prize). Visitors can vote for the People’s Choice Award, to be announced at the end of February.
