The cyclical process that validates a hypothesis is also fundamental to experimental forms of artistic production. This online program of artists’ film and video engages with concepts of repetition, with works that revel in doing the same thing over and over with no defined expectation of results. Apr 17-May 16Soft Systems: Radical Matters Tristesse Seeliger. This Vancouver-based artist and educator’s current work explores abstraction through weaving and painting.
Using textiles, geometric form,
and gestural mark-making, she treats the grid as a foundational structure–approaching weaving as a lens to examine art, craft, and cultural forces shaping what is made visible or kept unseen.
