Ever since she graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati in 1997, Rebecca Luncan has been on a roll, painting portraits, still lifes, botanical and floral studies, and even portraits of pets. Collectors in New York, Barcelona, Adelaide and Turin have snapped up her luscious works painted with oils on metal. The latest grouping echoes Old Master floral studies, offering allegorical or symbolic readings to those so inclined. Dutch tulips and chrysanthemums accompany butterflies and other transient life forms.
