Inside Out: Lana Schuster

Vernon-based artist Lana Schuster works in a variety of painting styles and genres, employing a range of media. A self-described explorer of the outdoors, she appears most at home when forgoing representational portraiture and landscape for their abstractive potential, giving shape to those complex 21st-century emotions that have so far remained nameless, not to mention those increasingly mysterious weather patterns that have come to colour the skies over the province’s south-central interior.
