Home & Away: Ian Wallace

Home & Away: Ian Wallace is the slender catalogue to the eponymous exhibition at the West Vancouver Art Museum (to May 4). Show and catalogue juxtapose watercolour and graphite sketches and black-and-white photographs Wallace produced as a teenager living in West Vancouver with photo-based works he created in the midst of his international career. Many of the latter represent ways in which he laid claim to European hotel rooms in 2012 and 2014: desktops heaped with notebooks, sketches, photos and travel ephemera.
