Ongoing Parallax(e): Perspectives on the Canada-U.S. Border / Perspectives sur la frontière entre le Canada et les États-Unis. Today, the Canada-US border dominates the headlines. But what do we really know about the history of the 49th parallel? This exhibition brings, for the first time, visual materials made by the surveyors who drew the boundary from the Salish Sea to the Rocky Mountains (1857–62) into dialogue with ambitious sculptures, photographs, installations, and new media works by fifteen contemporary Indigenous and settler artists. To January 24, 2026 Art on Demand 11.3 features local artists Arty Urdabayev and Lucas Mindzak, who explore, through photographic and painted mediations, the landscape and history of the Fraser Valley.
