Ongoing Luminous Glow: The Neon Landscapes of Kelsey Fernkopf, Photography by Steve Gilbert explores the materiality and expressive potential of neon glass. Fernkopf, a Seattle-based master neon glass tube bender, investigates how light transforms our perceptions in an installation designed for the Lightcatcher gallery. Large-scale sculptures feature alongside Gilbert’s original photography.
Ongoing Verdant: French Masterworks from the National Gallery of Art features three paintings by Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne, and Henri Matisse, displayed in an intimate gallery setting. The works are part of the National Gallery’s “Across the Nation” program and are on long-term loan at the Whatcom Museum.
