To Feb 28 Fei Disbrow: The Familiar Unfamiliar explores the rich, often-overlooked world of cryptograms–mosses, lichens, and algae–through Disbrow’s sculptural work. To turn down the noise of daily life, the artist seeks out-of-the-way places where she observes and records unfamiliar, miniature lifeforms which are integral to this body of her work. Opening Mar 14 Marian Penner Bancroft: Long Story is multimedia installation that brings together photographs, videos, wall texts and sound. It opens space for deep contemplation, and highlights the interconnectedness of histories, places and people, while embracing complexity. By engaging multiple senses and mediums, Bancroft encourages viewers to reflect on their own relationships with memory, land and belonging.
