Ongoing Held. Together. Glenna Cardinal, seth cardinal dodginghorse, Dwayne Martineau and Amanda McCavour present work about the relationships that sustain life. Plants provide the curatorial point of departure, offering a way of noticing the connections between human and more-than-human life. Attending to the ecological intelligence of grassland species, the exhibition considers reciprocity and care. Situated in Guts-ists’i, Wîchîspa Oyade, Moh’kinstsis, where the Foothills Fescue and Foothills Parkland ecosystems meet, the exhibition explores relationships to land, family and community. Through textile, video and mixed media, the artists consider plants, place, kinship, displacement and belonging, inviting us to reflect on what it means to be held in relation. Curated by Jenelle M.
