Opening Jun 6 Jonathan Forrest: Open Window. Canadian artist Jonathan Forrest paints with an exuberance of colour and full shapes which fill his canvases. Inspired by a concert in an old church, where classical music, colour and art converged, Open Window was borne from what the artist describes as
a “disconnect where idea and experience didn’t line up.” The resulting paintings were borne from finding beauty elsewhere, where least expected – in this case, stained glass windows within the church where the performance took place.
