Opening May 5 Arts Alive: Out Of This World & Artist Apprenticeship: Magnitude Of Enclosures. Are you a fan of science fiction and keen to create a new world? Are you a scientist inspired to know about what lies beyond? This year, Burnaby students in Grades K-7 were inspired to search for what excites and surprises them–be it from this world or another–using inward and outward exploration. In its 41st year of partnership with School District 41, Arts Alive celebrates expansive student interpretations and artistic achievements. And in its 15th year, the Artist Apprenticeship Program continues to inspire, encourage, and prepare senior secondary students for a career in the arts. Opening reception: May 4, 7-9pm.
