Gallery director Hafthor Yngvason has gone a long way in this show to restoring recognition and current attention for artists with disabilities by featuring those whose paintings, objects, sculptures and performances demonstrate great skill and innovative imagination. Most of the 18 artists combine activism and bioethics by illustrating how their individual deficits have resulted in marginalization in the art world, leading to vulnerability in the face of exclusion. Video, photography and sound works are also on view.
