NORTHERN ENGLAND, 1983-1986 is a beautiful new monograph highlighting a long-forgotten series Michael Kenna photographed in the 1980s. Kenna searched through his archives during the pandemic, rediscovering these images, many of which had never been printed or seen before. The regional English subjects are from the adjoining counties of Lancashire and Yorkshire, which share a mountain border and have a common industrial past. The 75 plates in this substantial book are exquisitely presented.
