Duane Linklater: Mymothersside

DUANE LINKLATER: MYMOTHERSSIDE accompanies the artist’s first major survey exhibition, at the Frye Art Museum to Jan 16, 2022. Linklater works across a range of media to address the contradictions of contemporary Indigenous life. Illustrations of his art are interspersed with photographs taken by his daughter as well as conversations between the artist and family Elders that “function as an alternative form of scholarship.” Frye curator Amanda Donnan o  ers a timely assessment of Linklater’s work over the past decade.
