7Idansuu James Hart: A Monumental Practice
7Idansuu James Hart: A Monumental Practice is the first publication to explore the Haida artist and Hereditary Chief’s life, works and major artistic highlights over his 45-year career. Co-authored by the Audain Art Museum’s director and chief curator Curtis Collins, who conducted extensive interviews with Hart, it focuses on select monumental cedar carvings and cast-bronze works. Rich with stories from Hart’s family and early days working with Bill Reid and Robert Davidson, the publication also offers a window into a deeper understanding of Haida culture, story and traditions.
