Featuring work from over 20 artists, Playhouse takes its cue from comic strips—what curators Annie Canto and Amelia Epp identify as “characters acting in frames, asserting control over their own narratives.” In the spirit of active viewing, visitors are encouraged to imagine what precedes the frame and what follows from it. On Nov 30 between 1 and 3 pm, artist Cindy Mochizuki will work with interested families to create miniatures, using air-dry clay, paint and craft papers.
