Opening May 2 Rosamunde Bordo: Magic Show. In her solo exhibition, Vancouver-based artist Rosamunde Bordo explores the shared effect between narrative, correspondence, artistic practice, magic and ritual. Featuring new works across video, metal, wood, glass, textiles and writing, the exhibition expands Bordo’s ongoing project The Denise File, an interdisciplinary work of serial detective fiction written through physical space and material. Engaging with esoteric knowledge traditions, the works present conduits for sympathetic transference, considering how objects act on each other and us at a distance, creating speculative encounters that move beyond empirical perception.
