To Nov 9 Manuel Axel Strain xʷən̓iwən ce:p kʷθəθ nəw̓eyəł ((((Remember your teachings)))). Known for their passionate work rooted in personal experience, Strain embraces and exalts the Coast Salish longhouse to confront the oppressive, racist colonial context surrounding them. Opening Nov 29 ArtRich 2025. Presented every two years, this lively showcase offers a dynamic window into the artistic milieu of Richmond, Lower Mainland, and surrounding areas. Presented in partnership with Richmond Arts Coalition (RAC). Opening Jan 24, 2026 The Chromophiliacs. David Batchelor’s book Chromophobia (2000) critically examined what he termed “chromophobia”–the fear of colour. Historically marginalized, colour continues to be linked to impurity, decadence, and excess. This is an electrifying showcase of artists profoundly inspired by colour.
