Kent Lovelace: Luminous
Harris Harvey Gallery, Seattle, WA - Jun 5 – 28
Once he concluded his apprenticeship at the legendary Landfall Press in Chicago, Kent Lovelace (1953–2017) changed directions. Already engaged as an active painter and lithographer, he became a master printer for a stellar list of other artists, including Jacob Lawrence, Dale Chihuly and Italo Scanga. His own prints and paintings on copper were acclaimed and included in important corporate collections as well as at the US Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia. Of the 26 paintings on view, two dozen are oil on copper and two are oil on linen.
