Hook, Pulp & Weave

This invitational exhibition explores fiber, showing art and craft, functional and nonfunctional objects. Several pieces are strictly sculptural and incorporate some form of fiber. They are all potential holiday gifts, including wall hangings, Nuno felted scarves and wraps, needle-felted figurative sculpture, needle-woven beaded jewelry, felted sculpture and sails, and “freq flags.” During Astoria’s Second Saturday Art Walk, Dec 14, there is a reception for the artists from 5 to 8 pm.
