Originally from Bellingham, Claude Zervas has exhibited widely, including in Toronto, and in Vancouver, BC, at Western Front. Blending processes derived from digital mechanisms with traditional studio materials like paint and wood, Zervas’ recent work at the Western Gallery suggests natural imagery such as tree rings, pond ripples and algae. Supplementing his permanent video installation, Nooksack Middle Fork (2015), in the Performing Arts Center lobby, Pond Water displays new explorations of how nature is experienced through the lens of technology. westerngallery.wwu.edu
