FreshFaces | Artist Panel & Exhibition Opening

Newzones Gallery is thrilled to host a panel discussion during the opening of our invitational group exhibition, "FreshFaces".

The third edition of this curated exhibition brings together artists Annie Briard, Maxwell Mustardo, Janna Robins-Walters, and Mira Song for a one-time group showing. Surveying each artist’s practice in depth, "FreshFaces" will analyze the ways in which the artists challenge the traditional use of materials and formal aesthetics through painting, photography, mixed media, and sculpture. The result is a stimulating and fresh view of “New to Newzones” and “New to Calgary” talent.

Please join us Saturday, May 6th at 2pm as we welcome Annie Briard, Janna Robins-Walters, and Mira Song to the gallery to discuss their practice, process, and inspiration during a special panel discussion moderated by "FreshFaces" curator and Newzones’ Assistant Director, Sabrina Sullivan. The opening reception will follow until 4pm with opportunity to enjoy the artwork and personally speak to the artists and curator.
