Feast For The Eyes: The Story Of Food In Photography
FEAST FOR THE EYES: THE STORY OF FOOD IN PHOTOGRAPHY accompanies the touring exhibition organized by the Aperture Foundation, on view at The Polygon Gallery to May 30. Curator and writer Susan Bright presents a history of photography through images of food while spotlighting the lives and times of their creators, from the 19th century to the present day. Images range widely, from “high art” to vernacular expressions, while exploring a myriad of social, sexual, environmental and cultural ideas.
