David Roberts: Artist And Traveler

DAVID ROBERTS: ARTIST AND TRAVELER chronicles the life and career of the 19th-century Scottish artist. As one of the most celebrated artists and travelers of his generation, Roberts is best known for his depictions of Egypt, the Holy Land and the Middle East. The book includes exquisite renditions of architecture and topography produced with lithographer Louis Haghe from Roberts’ travel sketches. Written by John Olbrantz, the extensive monograph has 96 color illustrations and was published in conjunction with the recent exhibition at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Salem, OR.
