Heartbeat Of A Vessel by Jo Scott-b

This exhibition of drawings and paintings by long-time Vancouver resident and heritage advocate Jo Scott-b was inspired by her earlier residency at Steveston’s Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. Fascinated by the range and, in some instances, the refashioning of machine parts that make up the canning process, Scott-b requested permission to sketch the engine room of the VMM’s star attraction, the St. Roch. The resulting show features her drawings and paintings displayed alongside archival materials from the museum’s collection.
